What services do you offer for veterans?

We offer shared independent-living homes, known as Bungalows, where each veteran enjoys a private furnished bedroom — with some homes offering suites that include private en-suite bathrooms. Residents share common areas such as the kitchen, living room, and laundry facilities. All utilities and Wi-Fi are included, and each home is thoughtfully designed to promote comfort, privacy, and a sense of community among residents.

Veterans interested in housing can submit an inquiry through our website or email info@boots2bungalows.org for details on upcoming availability.

Community members, donors, and partners can also contact us to discuss collaboration, sponsorshop, or in-kind contributions that help us expand housing opportunities for veterans in Chicago and beyond.

Where are the homes located?

Our initial focus is in Chicago’s South Side communities, specifically the 60649 (South Shore), 60653 (Bronzeville), and 60616 (Douglas/Gap) ZIP codes. These areas provide convenient access to transportation, employment centers, and veteran services — creating strong opportunities for veterans to live independently and stay connected.
As the Foundation grows, we plan to expand our footprint across additional Chicago neighborhoods and nearby suburbs.

Do you provide supportive or case management services?

No. Boots to Bungalows provides housing only and is not a licensed care or service-based organization. Our residents are independent, able-bodied veterans who manage their own daily living needs. We do, however, collaborate with local veteran resource partners when residents request additional support or referrals.
